Boho mountain elopement

Kathi + Simon

Every time I meet Kathi and Simon, I know we will be laughing until our bellies hurt. This time wasn’t any different. To say we had fun is probably an understatement. And I must say, “What is an adventurous elopement session without a real adventure?” Before the shoot I drove for an hour in the wrong direction. I was now going to arrive 2 hours later than planned and by that time everything should have been ready for the shoot to start. You can imagine, I freaked out! I usually allow for extra time, but even my extra time was expiring on me. Well, I eventually arrived and we set up everything in what felt like five minutes. I had a little bit over half an hour before the sun was setting so I made the best use of the time we still had. We turned up some music and danced around with the couple. In the end everything worked out, not as planned but, hey! What’s a photoshoot without a little adventure? And note to self: a little extra time is still not enough. Also, a big thank you to my favorite makeup artist Andrea Miklos for the beautiful styling of the bride and the wonderful papeterie artist Nicole Rehak for the amazing invitation cards. Love being able to work alongside such talented artists.
